Iqra school has lead a national conference on anti radicalisation where the importance of a broadened curriculum as a tool to safeguard children from extremism was discussed. Iqra school continues to lead the way on radicalisation (see the videos for further information).

What is it? 

Prevent is about safeguarding people and communities from the threat of terrorism. Prevent is 1 of the 4 elements of CONTEST, the Government’s counter-terrorism strategy. The other strands are: Prepare; Protect; and Pursue. Prevent is designed to support people at risk of joining extremist groups and carrying out terrorist activities.

All staff receive PREVENT awareness training and know what to do if they are concerned about an individual.
