Computing Intent, Implementation and Impact Statement
At Iqra, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of innovators, creators, and responsible digital citizens. Recognising the significance of technology in today's world, we aim to prepare our pupils for a rapidly evolving digital landscape through our curriculum, which is enhanced by the NCCE scheme of work. This comprehensive approach emphasises not only essential technical skills but also critical thinking, creativity, and ethical use of technology.
"The only way to learn a new programming language is by writing programs in it." — Dennis Ritchie
We are committed to equipping our pupils with a strong foundation in digital literacy, ensuring they can navigate the digital realm confidently and responsibly. Our curriculum includes engaging programming activities that spark curiosity and foster problem-solving skills. By introducing coding and computational thinking, we encourage children to become creators rather than just consumers of technology.
In addition to these skills, we empower our children to take on leadership roles as Digital Leaders. These enthusiastic individuals advocate for digital literacy, mentor their peers, and contribute to a positive digital culture within our school. By fostering leadership skills and a sense of responsibility, we inspire our children to excel in their personal journeys and positively impact their communities in an increasingly connected world.
"In a digital world, the most valuable leaders are those who cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous learning."
Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to cultivate a generation that is not only tech-savvy but also equipped to leverage technology as a force for good, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
