RE

At Iqra Primary School, Religious Education (RE) provides advantages well beyond a strong sense of faith. It contributes to the school curriculum by developing pupils' knowledge and understanding of religion, religious beliefs, practices, language and traditions and their influence on individuals, communities, societies, and cultures.

RE and all other curriculum areas, particularly PSHE, play an important role in promoting social awareness and understanding in our children.

We encourage our pupils to ask questions about the world and to reflect on their own beliefs, values and experiences. We include and promote British values, ensuring children know their rights and responsibilities as UK citizens. Our curriculum is designed to also encourage creativity, imagination, enquiry, debate, discussion, and independence.
